Actor Christian Bale has recently revealed that he
is very eager to work again with his “The Dark Knight Rises” co-star Tom Hardy.
The Welsh actor reprises his role as Batman for the third time in the latest
Christopher Nolan film. Bale embarks a new adventure with Hardy who portrays
Batman’s nemesis Bane. So what would exactly make Christian Bale want to work
with Tom Hardy again?
“Tom is phenomenal.
He’s an extraordinary actor. If I were a director I would want Tom to be in my
movies. He knows his s**t,” Bale raved to Empire about his talented co-star.
Aside from that, Bale also said that the reason why he was looking forward to
teaming up again with Hardy in another movie is because he felt like the two of
them had been working in isolation behind their costumes and masks.
“I don’t truly feel
like I’ve worked with Gary Oldman even though we’ve done three movies together.
I’m here in this darkness every time. And likewise with Tom, we’re both behind
these masks. He’s feeling that isolation as well. It’s a strange feeling. So we
agreed after this we’d like to work with each other on something one day!” Bale
exclaimed. Though they are definitely
tough enemies on-screen, Bale and Hardy seem to have developed a close bond and
even became good friends in real life.
Meanwhile, Bale also
revealed that he would be pleased to work again with director Christopher Nolan
on a fourth installment with the condition that Nolan can come up with a good
storyline for the film. “The Dark Knight Rises” will be released on July 19 in
Australia and it comprises an amazing cast with Anne Hathaway, Michael Caine,
Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Gary Oldman.
