Oz Lotto Division 1 jackpot prize
continues to excite the players as it shoots up to a staggering $100 million.
It is now recorded as the biggest prize amount in the history of Australian lotto.
According to Theaustralian.com, the Oz Lotto Division 1 has
not yet declared a winner since the $13 million win of one unnamed lotto player
last August 28.
Jan Stewart, Chief Executive
Officer of Lotterywest, claimed that the “record breaking $100
million draw is likely to create great excitement across the nation.” With
that, expectations run high for Lotterywest to put up on the market 1.2 million
tickets for the next draw. "We're sure this draw will capture the
imagination of Lotto players around the State as they participate in the
largest jackpot in Australian Lotto history," Stewart further stated.
In the past eight
weeks, Lotterywest’s towering ticket sales has helped in raising an
approximated $16 million for the local community of Western Australia. Now, the
lotto jackpot draw for next week is estimated to further raise an amount of $9
million.
Even though the Oz
Lotto Division 1 did not have any lucky winners during the $70 million jackpot
draw, there are still some WA players who were able to win prizes in the other
divisions like the two fortunate players who will go home to with the Division
2 prize of $53,228.30.
Meanwhile, the Lotto
tickets are available until 5pm next Tuesday from the Lotterywest retailers
across WA or from their website: www.lotterywest.wa.gov.au.
